Napoli’s loan players end of season update

By: ciro | May 28th, 2012

With the end of the season and many players returning to the club after the end of their loan spells i thought i would put together a post showing just how they got on at their respected clubs.

300_28317_1_506x310

Luca Cigarini- Atalanta- 32 games-01 goal
Fabbiano Santacroce- Parma- 12 games-
Luigi Vitale- Bolonga- 0 games-
Leandro Rinaudo- Novara- 5 games
Mario Santana- Cesena- 16 games- 03 goals and 08 games for Napoli

Serie B teams

Lorenzo Insigne- Pescara- 37 games- 18 goals
Raffaele Maiello- Crotone- 26 games
Camillo Ciano- Crotone- 28 games- 07 goals
Nicolao Dumitru- Empoli- 25 games- 04 goals

Lega Pro

Daniele Donnarumma- Carpi- 01 game and 05 games for Nocerina
Luigi Sepe- Pisa- 06 games
Armando Izzo- Avellino- 06 games and 13 games for Triestina 01 goal
Cosmo Palombo- Como- 06 games and 12 games 01 goal for Monza
Walter Guerra- Viareggio- 07 games
Andrea Petta- Siracusa- 04 games
Alessandro De Vena- Triestina- 17 games- 05 goals
Alessandro Diana- Aversa Normanna- 31 games
Vicenzo Gatto- Aversa- 23 games
Umberto Varriale- Aversa- 19 games- 02 goals
Crescenzo Liccardo- Portosummaga- 13 games- 01 goal
Francesco Bruno- Giulanova- 33 games

Abroad

Erwin Hoffer- Eintracht Frankfurt- 30 games- 09 goals
Cristian Chavez- San Lorenzo- 09 games- 01 goal

Some good experience for some of the youngsters but most will never been seen in Napoli shirt in serie A. The loaning out of Luigi Vitale to me was a waste of time, he didnt get one game at Bologna and we could have used him on the left wing at times this season. Cigarini will stay at Atalanta, maybe in a swap deal or they will buy him outright same will happen with Santacroce, Parma want to keep him. Rinuado and Santana will be sold to whoever wants them, maybe a newly promoted team. Insigne’s future is up in the air at the moment, either he will return to be used from the bench or he will go back out on loan to a Serie A club. Ciano will go back out on loan again, so too will Dumitru. Maiello should come back and fight for a place in the team as the fourth or fifth central midfielder. the others from Lega pro will either go back out on loan or be sold and taken off the books. The likes of Sepe, Izzo, Donnarumma and De Vena need more game time and wont get it at Napoli next season so another year on loan looks likely. Erwin Hoffer will probably be bought by Eintracht and Chavez might remain in Argentina. Out of all the returniong loanees i can see only Vitale and Maiello being added to next season’s squad.

GK- De Sanctis-Rosati- Colombo
RWB Maggio- Zuniga
LWB Dossena
CB Campagnaro-Fernandez-Cannavaro-Aronica-Grava-Fideleff-Britos
CM Inler-Gargano-Dzemaili-Donadel
FW-Lavezzi-Hamsik-Cavani-Vargas-Pandev-Luccarelli

With Grava, Colombo and Luccarelli out of contract, expect only Colombo to resign for another year as third choice back up. De Sanctis is stalling on resigning his contract but to be honest with his displays this year Napoli should begin the search for a new keeper. In defence a big change is needed but only Fideleff will be sent out on loan and Grava will retire so we will still have 5 centre backs and with at least 2 more higher quality defenders rumoured to be signed we will have to let someone go. 7-8 centre backs is too many.
A left wing back maybe two will have to been signed as there is a serious lack of quality and cover for a team that focuses on wing play. Midfield Donadel should be let go unless he can prove his fitness for next season. Up front Luccarelli will go back to Parma and probably reitre, Lavezzi could be on his way and Vargas could go out on loan. Pandev is wanted again for next season by Mazzarri.
So with De La speaking out about wanting a squad of 30 players with a number of youngsters fighting for places expect to see Napoli make a number of signings to fill out what was for most of this season a threadbare squad. Feel free to discuss your thoughts on the squad as the silly season of transfer rumours begins.

who watched the italy game? reminded me so much of napoli! 3-5-2. Croatia shuts down the 2 wingers and the offense is halted. Italy keeps the pressure up. Can’t get goal. No tactical change from italy. Croatia get goal on bad marking with header in the box.. italy push everyone forward to try to get winner. Can’t win it. Draw against weaker competition

Looks like Juve is offering $5 million for co-ownership for Verratti.

Not sure why we can’t pony up the $12 million.

Yeah Italy got figured out in the 2nd half and did not make the adjustments.

    Reminded me of Mazz.

Luigi – I think it wouldn’t make much sense to get Verratti if we currently own Cigarini. They ares imilar type players. If Mazzari didnt use Cigarini, i doubt he will use Verratti

I do consider all of the concepts you have offered in your post. They’re very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for starters. May you please lengthen them a bit from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.

Vincent the 3-5-2 can work, sometimes (look at juve). But the coaches have to realize when to use it and when to switch it up. Which both prandelli and mazzarri are clueless about.

reason it worked for juve is they had midfielders like vidal and marchisio

plus pirlo was completely reborn there and has been the best midfielder in the world this season!

yea i wouldnt get my hopes up until hes in the squad list for the 1st game!

we had a few primavera players brought into pre season and where are they now?? promising players sent to shite teams that wont of developed them properly it must be so infuriating to be a young italian footballer these days as a foreigner will always be ahead of you

unless your half egyptian or mario balotelli of course then you seem to get an unlimited amount of chances no matter how shit you play or how many problems you cause off the pitch

yep. Look at a player like Nesta. How old was he when he was starting at CB for Lazio? Captain at what age? Would that ever happen now?

And Lazio was a huge club during that time period.

    haha could you imagine!

italy looked a little bit stronger last night after switching to a 4 man defence. balotelli scored a cracking goal but see how bonucci i think it was literally covered his face to stop him shouting at whoever. he has serious problems!

bigon has said insigne is not at the pre season dimaro camp to train he is there as a player who we will focus on in years to come.

lets hope he isnt the last either

    I’m confused.

I read 1 article that says that Verratti to Juve is pretty much a done deal, yet I read another article saying that Napoli is to still meet with one last offer?

    Huh?

Ciao. I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this place. Excellent posts and articles.

One quick thought I was having this morning about our problems on the left side.

What do people think of Contento at Bayern? I have followed his progress for a while due to his Neapolitan famiglia and the fact he could prove an option for the Azzurri in future. He is quite raw but has improved and impressed me a bit. I think we’d be able to get him in on loan. Could be a shrewd move? Though I still wish Criscito had signed.

Some tips i have often told people today is that when looking for a good on-line electronics retail outlet, there are a few factors that you have to factor in. First and foremost, you would like to make sure to look for a reputable plus reliable retailer that has enjoyed great critiques and ratings from other shoppers and industry people. This will make sure that you are getting along with a well-known store to provide good program and support to the patrons. Thank you for sharing your ideas on this blog.
