Juventus’ Past Misfortunes

By: fortunato | March 15th, 2008

One last thing before I sign off for a few days, I hope the following video clip will give us some luck tomorrow. I will let Joe do his thing on the recap of the game tomorrow as he so throughly does.

I love the Lavezzi dive!!!!!

And then one of the greatest soccer moments I can recall against the hated Juventini (1989 UEFA Cup, which Napoli ended up winning, mostly due to this game that Napoli started down 2-0 in aggregate scores). What a comeback!!! My gift to all the Napoli fans throughout the world!!!

I gotta say, I have been watching soccer for the last 25 plus years of my life and there is absolutey no team that I dispise more than Juventus. You guys friggin suck!!!!
ADP and Trezueguet are friggin babies and despite how high and mighty you may feel right now, you’re going no where despite your huge payroll!!! Fiorentina kicked your ass at home a few weeks at home and a UEFA cup spot is the best you can hope for next year. Fiorentina and AC Milan have a better shot at a Champions League spot than you do. Vafanculo Juventini. Sieti una societa di merda!!!
You had to wait until the 89th minute to beat a team, at home, with an average age of 23 with your star studded lineup. You guys make me sick!!! We’ll see you next year….
Lisa, keep fighting the good fight….

Fortunato, it’s ok. We don’t hate you, because you’re not in our class. You’re just that annoying team we have to think about twice a year.

Your hate only makes us want to become the best, again. Forza Juve!

After all, many Napoletani left for the glory that is Juve. Cannavaro, Ferrara (what a legend), Dino Zoff, etc. Right now we have Palladino, Nocerino, Stendardo….thanks for all the great players. You can keep that diving cheat Zalayeta. In 10 years he never was good enough for us…of course he can make your Starting XI.

Alessio….You’re a good guy. I like you but remember one thing, comba’, always and forever, Forza Napoli!!!!
By the way, here is the impression of a Juve fan after a loss…
“Chiellin fouled Lavezzi and then Iaquinta scored. The refs are against us. Boo-hoo, why is everyone against us? Is it because we are so great?”

this santacroce kid looks to be a great find, how old is he and where did you buy him from and for how much. He was one of the few napoli players impressing today. not sure why hamsik was subbed off.

Fortunato, I love you too. But that was Molinaro, not Chiellini. And it was a 50-50, and considering the decisions Napoli got today (not last scandalous game) it was a 50-50 call too. (Santacroce’s challenge on Salihamidzic….very lucky not to get a red for that one.)

Most Juve fans aren’t like that. All football fans are like that when a bullshit game goes against us. (even you can’t admit Napoli 3-1 Juve was legit) None of us complained about the ref in the Juve-Viola loss, we just sucked. Same with the Udinese defeat. When we’re shitty, we acknowledge it.

I’m not saying Napoli played terribly or Juve played awesome. Napoli did a great job of defending in the box, but considering the possession and attempts on goal, even you guys have to admit that a Juve win was deserved.

Adam, I’m pretty sure your team has far more to worry about from karma than me or mine.

I love how the little Juve fans feel it’s safe to come heckle now that they got a just barely win. Typical Juventini, no class at all. I’ll take Napoli any day. We have a team. Juve have a payroll. Those Napolitani Alessio’s talking about didn’t leave for the “glory”, they left for the money.

Money? Or success. I think they left for the latter.

You think the players don’t care about the team? Serie B confirmed true Juventini. We fans stuck with the team, even though we knew it’d be years before we’d return to glory. And more importantly, Del Piero, Buffon, Trezeguet, Camoranesi, and Nedved, despite all being towards the end of the careers, stuck with the team. All of them could have left for European elite teams, but they stuck with us in purgatory and proved their loyalty.

If it wasn’t for the former, I doubt you’d have much of the latter.

Also, despite my general detestation of all things Juve, I think it’s a bit of a stretch to claim Buffon is near the end of his career. He’s only just turned 30. Barring injury, I’d say he easily has another 5-10 years.

lisa i dont blame any player for leaving napoli after looking at the welfare they call a payroll. Lavezzi €750,000 a year and Hamsik €500,000. Zalayeta is your highest paid with only €800,000. When playes realize how good they are and are not getting the results with their current team theyre gonna come knocking on the door of a “bigger and better” club. not just for the money but for the success.

Adam. Man you Juventini are really out of it. You make it sound as if Napoli is pinching their players. Look at the stats dude. Milan has a payroll of 120Mill, Inter 110Mill, Juve 96.9 Mill and Roma at 59 Mill and then there is everybody else (Fiorentina is next highest at 30 Mill). Napoli ranks 10th overall in Serie A with a total payroll of 19 Mill. Lavezzi and Hamsik were unproven commodities, why would we sign them to 3 Mill deals without playing a single Serie A game? We don’t have the FIAT group backing us up in the south. Sorry. We need to be a little prudent with our cash…
Look at the dogs you overpay like Tiago @ 2.6 Mill, Boumsong 2.5 Mill and Amiron at 1.7 Mill (how much have these guys actually played?)Why are you paying Nocerino 500,000? Because he’s unproven having played last year at Piacenza.
Listen, Marino is building something special here in a short period of time. Anyone can see that and I am trusting that most of the players will remain to se it through and will be compensated as they progress.

Colin. Fabian Santacroce came over in the January transfer, from Brescia (not sure for how much), yet another great Brescia pickup after Marino plucked Marek Hamsik (for 0.5 mill) from Brescia during the summer.
I also have serious issues with Hamsik being subbed out for Bogliacino and I thought Pazienza, with his yellow would have been the guy to go. Reja sometimes makes no sense to me at all….

Sam - You’re the exact reason why Juventus is the most hated club in the World. Rude, ignorant, unintelligent pig.

I do feel sorry for the true juve fans who have the minority fans like Sam taint the club.

Lisa - ignore the idiot..I’m sure he’s extremely happy with what Juve did against bottom club Empoli today.
