Il Barracuda Del Napoli
By: fortunato | April 24th, 2008Tribute to Lavezzi who has my vote for our player of the year (big surprise).
Priority number 1 in the calcio mercato is…get this boy some help if we’re serious about UEFA Cup spot in 08/09 which we should be accepting nothing less as loyal and dedicated tifosi. Is there anyone else who goes through the troubles and tribulations that we do, outside of Italy to follow home games by following text updates as the plays unfold?

I’m pretty sure we’re the only special ones who can’t watch home games outside Italy. (I still want to know what idiot is responsible for that mess.)

I think we can thank Mr. Delaurentiis for this shortcoming. I believe he signed a deal with SKY Sport (can’t remember which number)with instructions to only broadcast his San Paolo games within Italy only (don’t ask me why he has imposed this blackout of sorts).
I subscribe to RAI Internazionale but it has only shown five Napoli games all year: Inter, Roma, Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina.
Last year, I saw several more Napoli games because RAI did have the rights to broadcast Napoli home games. Imagine that..I saw more Napoli Serie B games than I did when they made it to Serie A.
I believe it will end for the 2008/2009 season. I can’t wait. Let me know if anyone knows differently so I don’t get my hopes up for nothing as this has been torture this season!!!!Posted from

There was talk at one point that Napoli were going to stream the home games themselves, but it never came to pass, so I don’t understand why they didn’t allow Serie A TV to carry them. I think next season this problem is solved. I HOPE so since it doesn’t look like I’ll be in Italy next season and I want to be able to see home games!
