Fiorentina vs. Napoli

By: Neil | January 19th, 2013

Cannavaro returns to the side, but not having played in a month Mazzarri sticks with the defence that shut out Palermo. Inler and Behrami are ever present in the centre of the park. Those two have formed a mighty partnership and the centre of midfield is not as vulnerable as it has been in the past. Zuniga has a knock but if he’s fit he should get the nod over Armero.
De Sanctis – Campagnaro, Britos, Gamberini – Maggio, Inler, Behrami, Zuniga – Pandev, Hamsik – Cavani

In giornata 2 Napoli was outplayed by Fiorentina at the San Paolo but somehow sneaked a 2-1 win after taking a couple of chances. Even though Napoli is currently in much better form than Fiorentina this one will be very difficult as Montella knows how to manage against Napoli.

Predcition: Fiorentina 1 Napoli 1

Watched that goal over and over almost as if I was enjoying the pain. I cannot formulate any reasonable rationale on why he did what he did. The fact that his world is the area in between two poles does not condone his frequent bipolar performances. I am pissed….

It’s a damn shame Mr Nap, because two seasons ago Morgan was the best keeper in Italy.

I am pissed as well Mr Nap but loved the two Poles and bipolar equation. Obviously appropriate schooling there.

This requires the old ” You had to be there” for effectiveness. The posts are extracted from CALCIO NAPOLI 1926 Blog. The character 1975 is known to disturb the forums on all issues. Maybe a Juventino …..Its in Italian so for the few here it goes….

Anybody hear of this guy? Any good?

Official – Napoli have signed the half property, of the striker Miguel Medina Miranda (19), who now is in co-ownership with Udinese.

Havent heard about Miranda but lets hope he another one of Udinese’s talented scouted players. Looks like Napoli is about to sign Josip Radosevic from Hadjuk Split in Croatia for around 3 mil euro. Hes a defensive mid and should be a vice Behrami

Miranda and Mazzarani apparently will never see a napoli shirt. Miranda is being used to get another non-eu spot opened up on the roster similiar to Kabine(I think that was his name) from last year.

Mazzarani on the other hand is purely financial, he’s injured right now and Napoli think they can turn a profit when he gets back into shape. I remember hearing great things about this kid not too long ago, but it seems he’s not going to live up to his expectations.

Probably a good bit of business and a good indicator that we’ll get a foreigner in the summer.

I find it interesting that Parma was able to make a better offer financially than Napoli.

Neil I think Napoli knew exactly where they stood and with the craft that comes naturally to Neopolitans were well aware of what they were doing and I find it interesting that you believe the agent. It is in his interest to put that story about and Napoli are not going to eve bother denying that and this he kwows. A good agent the lad has got. Viva Freddie74 a great aswer

Mr. Taylor thank you for the compliment. The second one today. I feel like sharing this with you since you have an affinity for prose….

I was reading an inteview with Paolo Cannavaro where he mentiones the tears he shed when he first heard the news on his innocent verdict. I decided at that time to enter my comment. I chose the Blog Handle ” BlueNote” for all inclusive reasons that are obvious to some that know me. PS Aleardi was a famous poet.

MR Nap more of a Giosue Carducci fan myself and have seen his statue in Pietrasanta which is where my brother in law lives as I also lived in Viareggio a few kilometres away. My wife went to the same school as Carducci the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and the clever bugar has a degree from there I can see it here from my desk the flash sod has it on the wall next to my daughets she only put it up there after our Chantalina put hers up. Of course I am not the one to put my doctorate up as I am much too modest but women you can’t live without them and you can’t bury them under the patio either for fear of a neighbour spotting you. But my fave is Napoli’s own De Roberto who obviously got his inspiration for I Vicere from Naples as the book is about the planet changing beyond understanding, where there is no need to hope for a tomorrow which may free us coz it won’t and there is no part of the new world that is not connected to corruption, a bit like trying to get in the San Paolo on a sold out match day Eh!

Looks like bocchetti is going to CSKA. I know some of you guys were keen on the club signing him but apparently he is earning 5 mil/ year, ouch! For that money, I would pass as well.

It makes me laugh when Arsene Wenger says he has dropped his interest in Cavani. Did he seriously expect Cav to drop Napoli and go to a once and let me emphasize once great club. They won’t even make the fourth spot necessary for the CL. Oh well even if if he didn’t their silly fans and the insular fans of EPL side in general believe that any player would arrive at the drop of a hat to play for them. That is why Messi, Ronaldo Cav etc etc go there.
It is a exciting league to watch and the money is good but for heavens sake apart fro the likes of Aguero , Tevez, Van Persie Suarez and two or three Chelsea players the standard of football is atrocious. Also disillusioned Liverpool fans really expected him to go there and they are worse than Arsenal. Lets see that leaves City or Chelsea. Cav wudn’t go to Chelsea as he knows the straightjacket they play under their COACH Abrahmovich . Torres I ask you. Man City they no longer can afford him with the new Regulations coming in . Apart from that he HE LOVES Naples Imagine waking up next to the Azzurri bay or in the freezing rain and fog of London or Manchester I know where I would be. Besides that if Cav goes anywhere and even this is a long shot it will be Barca or Real Madrid. Watch those Great Whites in the Bay Arsene.

Maggio out Sunday due to fractured hand: http://football-italia.net/29955/napolis-maggio-suffers-fracture

Hope he is back soon…seemed like he had been playing with more confidence these last few games…a couple of goals will do that…

Wonder if Armero will debut on the left, Zuniga on the right, or if it will be Mesto to fill in…

With Mazzarri’s thinking it will likely be Mesto and Zuniga starting… Armero still needs a bit of time to learn Napoli’s movements. I’d like to him get some action though.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this %BLOGTITLE blog. In addition, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Firefox.
