happy new year! Just to point out that (I believe) Bucchi has been sold to Bologna (and not loaned). Also Gatti is gone (to Modena, his contract was expiring later this year anyway). Next out Della Bona and Caparella for sure but there are strange rumors about Calaio’ as well.

Milan isn’t going to wind up in 12th. But it will be difficult for them to wind up with a CL spot. I don’t doubt they’ll do it but it’s by no means a sure thing. Best of luck to Milan after Sunday night!

Thanks, Shehan. I didn’t know that was the reason. I guess it makes sense…being a Napoli fan I’m not similarly burdened with such issues. I just don’t see this as being much of a showcase match. Our only hope is to kick the hell out anything red and black and hope your poor home form continues.

My predictions are typically really really off base though.

the reason for the cups being out is because its our first home game after the club world cup win, and typically the first home game is used to showcase the cup[s].

also expect kaka’ to show off his new FIFA player of the year trophy as well.

hopefully it will be a good game, may the best team win!

That’s interesting that the match is getting attention from Belgium. The sides haven’t met in 6 years (we’ve been saying that a lot this year) and I just wish we had more of our full squad. Blasi’s absence is really going to felt, I believe. He’s the only one who’d have a chance of containing Kaka in the attacking third. Maybe without Rino in there Lavezzi can expose Milan’s defense. It’ll be interesting to watch even if the football won’t be stellar.

This game is really boosted on Belgian PPV-TV…big commercials saying this is ‘the clash of the old rivals’. Lookin’ forward to some Azzurri kickin’ the crap out of that boy Pato.
